I've been asked recently about Yoga books that can be complimentary to and inspiring for Yoga practice.
Here are a few of my many faves. I hope you enjoy them too.

1. "Health, Healing & Beyond" by T.K.V. Desikachar with R. H. Cravens
Potentially my favourite ever Yoga book. In his pages, Desikachar dives deeply into the history & living tradition of his father's (Krishnamacharya) teachings & exploration of Yoga - a true pioneer in the history and evolution of Yoga. Desikachar's words of his father are humble, heartfelt, insightful & inspiring. No matter how many times I re-read his book I find myself brought right back again.. right back into the heart of Yoga. Ever re-inspired in my Yoga practice & curiosity. 🤓

2. "Teachings on Love" by Thich Nhat Hanh
One of the sweetest & dearest books that I've read. Thich Nhat Hanh, in his true style of quietly sharing deep notes of heartfelt wisdom, guides us into deeper understanding of ourselves & others around us. Whilst breaking down internal parameters of isolation, separation & judgement in his pages, Thich's words invite us to open up to more connection, acceptance & inclusiveness. As the title implies, we open up to more Love. My Teacher once said to me that everyone just really wants to Love & to be Loved; this book elaborates on helping us get in touch with exactly this. 💙

3. "Yoga & Ayurveda" by Dr. David Frawley
A great read for those interested in understanding the alchemy of Yoga. A book that I find I can re-read over & over, always learning & understanding more. 🕉️

4. "Fully Human" by Steve Biddulph
What a beautiful read, I really love Steve's voice in his books. His humble & totally relatable writing style makes his books engaging & enjoyable to read. Even whilst touching on some of our most tender spots. Steve's warm, grounded guidance invites us to explore our inner landscape (or as Steve says, our 4 story home) and allows for a total internal adventure. Steve's pages are full of life & vibrance. He has a real passion for helping all of us experience our lives as the whole human beings that we are. 🌏
I hope you enjoy some of these much loved books.
